Who We Are
We are scientists, engineers, cloud architects and compliance specialists who have spent more than seventeen years learning what it takes to run omics at population scale, regulatory-grade, without breaking. Many of us came from the labs, pharma teams and health systems we now serve. We are committed to solving the hardest problems in human health alongside you.

Seventeen years in,
three chapters tell our story.

2009–2015
Committing to powering the genomics revolution.
DNAnexus was founded in 2009, as sequencing costs collapsed and data volumes exploded, on a bet that genomics belonged in the cloud when much of the field thought that was reckless.
Within a few years the platform was running secondary analysis for the largest diagnostic labs and pharma programs in the world, and in 2015 the FDA chose it to build precisionFDA.

2016–2021
Earning trust where the stakes are highest.
GxP, FedRAMP and years of regulated production work followed. In 2021 UK Biobank launched its Research Analysis Platform on DNAnexus, opening the world’s richest biomedical dataset to researchers everywhere.
As the questions crossed modalities, so did our technologies: beyond genomics to every related omics layer, plus the clinical and phenotypic data needed to study whole populations. Over time we were trusted with data reflecting more than 200 million lives.

2022 onward
Organizing omics into intelligence.
DNAnexus now secures more than 140 petabytes of omics data and grows by a third every year. This chapter is about transforming your omics data into a standardized, AI-ready and powered asset that your models, agents, and scientists can act on.
