This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets forth the restrictions regarding use of the DNAnexus, Inc. (“DNAnexus”) platform (the “Service”) and any use of the Service is subject to this AUP.  Use of the Service is governed by a separate agreement entered into between the user (“User”) and DNAnexus (the “Agreement”); capitalized terms in this AUP have the meaning stated in the Agreement unless otherwise defined herein.  This AUP is incorporated into the Agreement by reference.

User agrees not to, and not to allow third parties to, use the Service to or for: 

  1. use the Service to store, transmit or make available infringing, libelous or otherwise unlawful or tortious material, or to store, transmit or make available material in violation of third-party rights, including, but not limited to privacy rights;
  2. use the Service to store, transmit, or make available viruses or malicious code;
  3. interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service;
  4. attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or any related systems or networks;
  5. permit direct or indirect access to or use of the Service in a way that violates the Agreement;
  6. use the Service to generate or send unsolicited communications, advertising or spam, or otherwise cause DNAnexus to become impaired in its ability to send communications on its own or on its customers’ behalf (e.g., by causing DNAnexus to become registered on any Email DNS blacklist or otherwise be denied services by any other third party communications service provider); 
  7. use a DNS name containing offensive, infringing, profane or libelous terms in a publicly-visible URL hosted on the DNAnexus Platform (in addition to other remedies it has under the Agreement, DNAnexus may remove or modify any such DNS names); 
  8. transact it, or facilitate activities related to, uncover or make available an individual’s identity without express authorization and consent;
  9. Engage in cryptocurrency mining or similar activities;
  10. Threatening, offensive, illegal or similarly objectionable purposes, including but not limited to, promoting hate, violence, or harm to others, or harm to DNAnexus’ reputation.
